STAY UNITED with Ausden Inc!

This morning at Ausden Inc we are grateful! Regardless of opinion and principle we uphold to a standard higher than us! We realize that our Savior is not a certain President or the Country we are blessed to live in, but for the freedom to serve a Lord that provides and guides us in the most honorable manner! Shall we not forget that even though gas prices are high and people are in more need than ever...that God is opening up doors to serve our fellow man! Sometimes we have to go back the basics. We woke up today and could kiss someone we love, or call someone we care about from and IPhone:). Our hearts are beating, and we all bleed red. Being divided can never accomplish what is in store when we are UNITED! We hold the sacred pursuit to life, liberty, and happiness... from every moutain side...let freedom ring! God Bless America~ Ausden Inc

Helpful Twinkle

The last week has been an adventure. Ausden Inc is moving to Downtown Nashville on Forth Ave! We are overwhelmed with God's blessings and opportunity for us. We continue to pray as our life unfolds in building a business and keeping it real with life, work, and balance. We managed to work the Nashville Flea Market, finish a custom vanity job ,and nurse a sick child back to health this week with God's grace.  Our friends and family have a beautiful way of wrapping wings around us when we are in need, so we can still fly. The best part about it all was that we met Mike. Austin prefers to call him "Micheal".  Mike is a native Nashvillian who works the Flea Market once a month helping vendors load and tie up lose ends. This week Mike went from being a nice gentleman that helps Ausden Inc, to a forever friend. He has 11 grand children and rich wisdom! As he was helping us load, he mentioned his time frame for catching the bus in time to make his night shift that evening. Ausden Inc took Mike home. We discussed a lot about life in that thirty minute car ride. Austin told him how Old McDonald has stinky underpants, and Mike laughed as I rep remanded Austin on appropriate car conversation with new friends. Mike told me he has to leave home two hours early everyday for work in order to take the two buses he rides to make it to work on time at night, and when it is a flea market weekend he goes right from the night shift to work the flea market without any sleep. "It's all about what you get used to he says, you just have to plan ahead." As our days get tough, our nights seem long, and our bodies are tired we think about Mike, and how his helpful spirit twinkles in Ausden Inc's eyes!

Perspective

As we were sitting in church Sunday with a number of distractions running through our heads. Upcoming orders, our workshop build, how we are supposed to balance everything???? All of the sudden the message became about having a case of the "IF ONLY". If only we had a different this,  or a different that. Sound familiar? It does for us! Ausden Inc has a beautiful way of putting life in perspective. On Sunday we had a real family "Moment" where Mommy dropped a hot pan of lasagna on the floor in the middle of the kitchen only to wave a white flag of surrender while Daddy was left with two hungry little boys and a broken down wife sitting on a bench in the backyard. It wasn't about the lasagna. It was about the defeat. To try so hard to always get it right, to be left with a huge burn hazard mess on the floor. At that moment I thought about how hard God works and feels defeated as we constantly try and take matters into our own hands, yet he never gives up fighting for our hearts. Ausden Inc helps us see the world through HIS eyes...God's perspective.

Time to Refine

Ausden Inc is the product of  a family with faith! A few years ago we started creating our own design style because life had thrown us some curve balls in our first few years of marriage. Being blessed with two amazing little boys and trying to find our way. God began breaking down the ideals we had and building us back up in HIS plan.  We describe Ausden Inc as "God's Company". We have leaned on his promises and created a line of furniture and refine antiques using his creations and the talents he has blessed us with to share our southern design ideas with others. We believe everyone deserves beautiful things. The Lord has refined our company and our hearts. When my three year old woke up and asked me if we were "Ausden Ink'n" today. I new it was time to share our rustic journey.
